This chronicles my search for both the very best rum and the best rum value for mixing in Caffeine-Free Diet Coke. I’ve rated well over 60 rums for taste and value. I have been surprised how many outstanding rums I've found--and how much better many are than what I had been drinking. Of course, a few of them are very expensive, but there are some incredible values to be enjoyed.

Rum: Bacardi 151, Puerto Rico Rating:2 Proof:151
75.5% alcohol! Way too much for me. Tried this in Denver. The 75.5% makes this the real "mile high" rum. Intended only to be mixed.
